Ready to Hang
Black frame included (25"x19"x.5")! I created this piece in 2011 during my first drawing course at the University of North Texas. I was inspired by the subtle gradation in color of mangos. Over the period of a week, I observed a mango slowly age with wrinkles and spots and would build upon the drawing. Actually, I have had this drawing hanging in my kitchen for over four years, but the new home I will be moving to soon calls for a different aesthetic. I hope this drawing will find a new home to brighten up!
Sarah Pippins is a New Media artist who just recently earned her BFA in New Media Arts through the University of North Texas in Denton. Her gallery work, which has been shown in Denton and DFW, usually consists of video installations and interactive works, but she also enjoys painting and drawing. She has several pieces that are in private collections across Texas. Drawing and painting gives her a chance to study the beauty in every day life, or to work through her emotions and analyze her relationships with herself and others. She hopes that her art can help inspire others to search for a deeper understanding of themselves, as well.
