I created this piece in 2013 during my first painting course at the University of North Texas. I know very little about the functionality and cohesiveness of vehicle parts, but the monochromatic and highly textured metal forms a composition that I believe is cohesive in itself. "Hard Left" was made with this same thought, and I recommend buying "Hard Right" and "Hard Left" as a pair, although both paintings stand on their own.
Sarah Pippins is a New Media artist who just recently earned her BFA in New Media Arts through the University of North Texas in Denton. Her gallery work, which has been shown in Denton and DFW, usually consists of video installations and interactive works, but she also enjoys painting and drawing. She has several pieces that are in private collections across Texas. Drawing and painting gives her a chance to study the beauty in every day life, or to work through her emotions and analyze her relationships with herself and others. She hopes that her art can help inspire others to search for a deeper understanding of themselves, as well.
