I created this art during the summer of 2016. I was searching the web looking for image to draw, didn't know what I really wanted to draw; however I came across this image, the dark black, the reflection, they caught my attention and I just started drawing. It took me approximately 50-60 hours, this art work is my first pen work. , therefore it was a challenge.
I was born in Liberia, a small country in West Africa, founded by free slaves from America. I grew up in the capital city of Liberia, Monrovia. In December 2012, my dad, stepmom, two brothers and I came to America. Moving to America has been extremely challenging; moreover, leaving the family back home was even more heartbreaking. I attended pike high school located in Indianapolis, IN. In High School I also joined the Young Men of Purpose (YMP), a program design to prepare young men for the future. This program also helps me learned basic skills to progress in my school work and other activities outside of school. Activities like art and sports, etc. Art is a habit I embrace overtime because I love making beautiful art works and sharing them with the world. As an artist, I view the world in different spectrum. I'm inspired by the variety of colors nature is giving at every glance. The blue oceans, sandy beaches, colorful rain forest and amazing animals. I embrace every beautiful view of this earth.
