The reason I chose the title for this piece is that is name of the Ferry. It is located in Fredrickstown, Pa on the Monongahela River. It is now retired, but holds a lot of sentimental value.
My name is Sandy Hughey. I am a Vango artist. I have been painting for over 25 years and teaching oil painting classes since 2001. I got into teaching after having two shoulder surgeries and have limited use of my arm. So I started my own business teaching what I love. It was the best decision of my life. When one door closes, another one opens. My accident turned into a blessing. I love painting and can not go more than a couple days without painting something. I love teaching others to paint and creating their masterpieces. To see the sense of accomplishment on their faces is what I love. Painting is great therapy, and brings such joy. I have made so many friends teaching that it makes all the hard work worth it. Thank you for visiting my portfolio.
