Ready to Hang

After of carousing through Mexico City, I entered this bar "Hunter S. Thompson style."
On the stage was a beautiful sultry singer belting on some amazing R&B and Northern Soul. This 16 x 20 inch painting attempts to capture the experience.

I am an artist currently working in Richmond, Virginia. I was born in Lebanon and grew up in Richmond, and spent a lot of my adult life in Europe and Colombia. I studied art in a non-traditional way. I majored in international politics at university and after graduating I got a job at a multi-national corporation to pay for my impeding student loans. I hated it, and quit soon after. I decided to become a full-time artist, and traveled, searching for masters from which to learn. Actually, I am still learning and working on improve my craft. Had some great opportunities to exhibit around the world and collaborate with some great people. Acrylics are my medium of choice for painting at the moment. My artistic influences are so vast, but I would have to say primaries are Degas, Picasso, all the Surrealists and Expressionists like Egon Schiele,
