A mother-like figure, a close brother of mine was washing the dishes whilst greens were growing in front of him. Made a beautiful scene which made me want to depict the moment in painting. The subject matter, Mark, washing dishes closely resembles what sons and daughters encounter, mother cleaning up after the others. Mothers washing dishes care with no greed, there are no greed or self loathe involved. This imagery of pure sacrifice and love was meant to come across from this particular painting. We often as a friend, referred to him as a 'Ma Ma Mark' as he was a very endearing and kind-hearted friend. He was the one looking after every single one of his mates even though the time for him weren't the greatest. Lively greens livening up in front of the figure is meant to represent the livelihood that Mark himself presences.
