This series captures the unknowable in nature – described in science as quantum mechanics. The so-called "uncertainty principle" describes how we cannot know both position and momentum at the same time. Here I depict the unknowable momentum as being confined by a variety geometric forms, like those symmetries that confine nature.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Sinead Griffin has exhibited in her native Ireland as well as galleries in London and Zurich. Now based in Berkeley, California, she works as a theoretical physicist which strongly influences her two dimensional creations.
