When a cowboy is trying to rope a horse, you can bet that a lot of dust is created!

I live in the Southwest, and horses are a big part of people's lives.

Horses are beautiful animals...fast and strong and wonderful to paint, if you know what you are doing.

Even though the vegetation in the southwest is a bit prickly at times, the blooms are often bright and colorful, as in this painting.

Famed dancer and choreographer Martha Graham once said, “All that is important is this one moment in movement.” This perfect “moment in movement” is what I strive to depict with oil on canvas. Be it with dancers or horses or other living things, I paint the power and grace of their motion, using fluid brushstrokes to show the strength and speed of galloping horses, or the elegance and energy of dancers.
