A fun painting and I was just dealing with the exuberance of life and the fun that children have. My son appears in the pink tree waving back at me. This is an early example of object displacement painting in this series, as infants obviously don't belong in trees.

Ron McIntosh is a painter from Laramie, Wyoming. Ron's passion for creating art is inspired by the Expressionist and Abstract Expressionist Painters. You will note he displaces objects on the picture plane and puts them to use in various ways, recoloring them, painting patterns and sometimes scraping transparent white lines in front of them. All of this resolves into paintings engaging and fun scan with your eyes, mind and spirit.
