Lately I've been finding inspiration in objects I see everyday. Whether it be in or around my house. We have a beautiful old weather vane above our chicken coop. I often look and admire the sunlight that hits it or its surroundings throughout the day. This piece accomplished in a number of layers. Originally all acrylic until i wasn't happy with the back ground. Where the surroundings took over the subject. In which i muted out and added inks.
I've had a passion for art for as far back as I can remember. As a child, I got more pleasure out of drawing my toys rather than playing with them. I would often draw life-size versions of my Star Wars figures to scale. My love for art would continue throughout high school and into college. Where I graduated from Radford University in 1999, majoring in Fine Art with concentration in Graphic Design and minoring in Art History. My passion then led me to study further onto graduate studies at Central Connecticut State University. The subject matter, style, technique, size and pallete of my work is pretty much all over the place, yet an emphasis on color and contrast can be seen throughout.
