This is an acrylic piece yet resembles a water color. Along with the properties of one. Very refreshing, soothing and airy feel to it. Accomplished by moving the paint upon the canvas in a variety of techniques while not allowing the acrylics to dry until completed. The piece is highlighted by it organic colors and movement hence the title "Organic Release". The paint continues over the sides where it is also signed allowing to be hung at any orientation
I've had a passion for art for as far back as I can remember. As a child, I got more pleasure out of drawing my toys rather than playing with them. I would often draw life-size versions of my Star Wars figures to scale. My love for art would continue throughout high school and into college. Where I graduated from Radford University in 1999, majoring in Fine Art with concentration in Graphic Design and minoring in Art History. My passion then led me to study further onto graduate studies at Central Connecticut State University. The subject matter, style, technique, size and pallete of my work is pretty much all over the place, yet an emphasis on color and contrast can be seen throughout.
