Ready to Hang
This is an acrylic piece yet resembles a water color. Along with the properties of one. Very refreshing, soothing and airy feel to it. Accomplished by moving the paint upon the canvas in a variety of techniques while not allowing the acrylics to dry until completed. The piece is highlighted by it organic colors and movement hence the title "Organic Release". The paint continues over the sides where it is also signed allowing to be hung at any orientation
I've had a passion for art for as far back as I can remember while growing up in Glastonbury, CT. As a child, I got more pleasure out of drawing my toys rather than playing with them. I would often draw life-size versions of my Star Wars figures to scale. My love for art continued through high school and into college attending Radford University in Virginia. Here I majored in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design along with spending a semester in Greece for a minor in Art History. After graduating in 1999, I returned back to Connecticut and continued onto my graduate studies at Central Connecticut State University. I’ve been in the St. Pete area since 2001 and now reside in Gulfport with my wife and two pups. The subject matter, style, technique, size and palette of my work is all over the place with the use of inks, acrylics, and oils. However an emphasis on color and contrast can easily be seen throughout. My work can be found in a number of smaller local galleries, yet most of my sales are done online. The power of the internet has allowed my work to be found in personal collections around the world.
