More about the artist:

rinARTT is an outsider. An anomaly.

Known to some as adult star Taryn Thomas, in another life she advocated for sex work legalization and decriminalization. Despite retiring from the industry in 2012, she continues to campaign against the social stigma attached to that profession.

Today rinARTT has shifted her attention to the canvas, away from the silver screen. Working in an array of different media, though focused mainly in the medium of paint, since December 2014 her output has been prolific. Almost entirely self-taught, to the surprise of many, rinARTT is nevertheless voraciously — even irrepressibly — creative. She averages one to two paintings per day. Only recently has she begun to sell her artwork, but has met with immediate success.

Yet rinARTT’s talent remains largely undiscovered. Her training as a painter has been episodic and gradual, unfolding over the course of her entire life. Painting runs in the family; her aunt is a professional, Parsons-trained portraitist living in New York. rinARTT prefers to express herself abstractly rather than figuratively, however, most of her paintings rendered on wood panels (though a few also on canvas). Iridescent acrylics and spray paint feature in most of her works to date, but lately she has incorporated Rust-Oleum hammered copper finishes as well
