Ready to Hang
I had visited Long Beach a few times, the first time that I saw this magnificent gem of a building, was absolutely wonderful! It's grand, ornate, towering character made me feel really enticed to draw it, in my own style.
A few months after my last visit, I finally got around to starting a drawing. I loved being able to fracture the architectural symmetry, seeing it on paper as I imagined it would look, at dusk, with the amber sunset light partially gleaming off of its facade.
Having recently moved permanently to Long Beach, I can't help but want to walk by whenever I can, to take in its beauty, and simply wonder how it'll look at sunset, how the light will bring it to life even more!!
Please note: This piece is fully framed and ready to hang, in a custom made frame
Hello!.. I'm Rimi, and I'm happy that you're taking the time to browse my artworks. I was an architectural technologist, until a few years ago I found my passion in mixed media ink drawings, photography and sketching. I usually work on quite a few separate pieces at the same time, as I find that my drawings & designs develop fairly randomly, each piece changing and evolving as I look it and add to it, so that by the time it's done, it's quite different to my original vision but at the same time, it just feels right (if that makes sense!..)
