A Pop view of world-renowned Pop Artist, Andy Warhol. He grew up not too far from my current neighborhood and his museum is just 4 blocks from here. His influence in the art world is felt throughout this city and all over the world.
This painting pays homage to this brilliant artist. This painting is done in typical Andy style, I used acrylic and painted it by hand; Andy screen printed his art.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, I am a self-taught, Pittsburgh contemporary acrylics painter. I began painting after my move to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1982. The 1980s brought about a change in art, design and architecture and no place was it more evident than in Miami. I was so inspired by it all, I wanted to be part of it. Miami's diversity in the arts led to my need to be diverse in my varied styles of painting. While committing to an individual style of painting, I find that for me, it leads to boredom. The process of creating for me should be as fun and enjoyable as those collecting art or it will be evident in my final piece. Over the years, I have shown my art at various venues in FL, PA, CA, MI and other locations nationwide.
