A Miami-inspired painting based on a mini-jungle in my own backyard. On a background of the tropical sunset, the garden is banana palms incorporated with other tropical foliage. The sunset in this painting does change as the lighting changes. It's spectacular. The combined panels create a breathtaking piece of art.
*NOTE: This is 4 panels, 20.5"x25" each to produce an 82x25x1.5" piece. Each panel framed in black brushed aluminum.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, I am a self-taught, Pittsburgh contemporary acrylics painter. I began painting after my move to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1982. The 1980s brought about a change in art, design and architecture and no place was it more evident than in Miami. I was so inspired by it all, I wanted to be part of it. Miami's diversity in the arts led to my need to be diverse in my varied styles of painting. While committing to an individual style of painting, I find that for me, it leads to boredom. The process of creating for me should be as fun and enjoyable as those collecting art or it will be evident in my final piece. Over the years, I have shown my art at various venues in FL, PA, CA, MI and other locations nationwide.
