An homage to the Ringling Brothers Circus and all the clowns that were part of its long history. While clowns are supposed to represent laughter, a lot of people are disturbed by them and kids are frightened by them. In this piece I attempted to incorporate both the fun and the creepiness, depending on how it's viewed.

This is a great piece for clown lovers and circus memorabilia.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, I am a self-taught, Pittsburgh contemporary acrylics painter. I began painting after my move to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1982. The 1980s brought about a change in art, design and architecture and no place was it more evident than in Miami. I was so inspired by it all, I wanted to be part of it. Miami's diversity in the arts led to my need to be diverse in my varied styles of painting. While committing to an individual style of painting, I find that for me, it leads to boredom. The process of creating for me should be as fun and enjoyable as those collecting art or it will be evident in my final piece. Over the years, I have shown my art at various venues in FL, PA, CA, MI and other locations nationwide.
