Ready to Hang
I wanted to create a piece that would abstractly take the viewer through the varying stages and layering of the autumn leaves.
When hung, this piece is actually 53x53"
THIS IS AN ORIGNAL HAND-PAINTED, ACRYLIC ON CANVAS, NOT A SCREEN PRINT OR GRAPHIC REPRODUCTION.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, I am a self-taught, Pittsburgh contemporary acrylics painter. I began painting after my move to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1982. The 1980s brought about a change in art, design and architecture and no place was it more evident than in Miami. I was so inspired by it all, I wanted to be part of it. Miami's diversity in the arts led to my need to be diverse in my varied styles of painting. While committing to an individual style of painting, I find that for me, it leads to boredom. The process of creating for me should be as fun and enjoyable as those collecting art or it will be evident in my final piece. Over the years, I have shown my art at various venues in FL, PA, CA, MI and other locations nationwide.
