Ready to Hang

While on vacation, we saw these three ships anchored. I assumed for the night. I took a photograph and decided it would be nice to paint , because of the beautiful sunset. I used mostly palette knives to paint it. it is painted on stretched canvas and is framed in a 3 1/2 " wide, gold and white frame, ready to hang. The sunset dictated the coloring.

I HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN DOING ART WORK SINCE I WAS A YOUNG CHILD. MY FATHER WAS A CARTOONIST AND THUS ENCOURAGED ME IN ALL MY ENDEAVOURS. I AM MOSTLY SELF TAUGHT. I AM 81 YEARS YOUNG AND LIVE ALONE. MY HUSBAND OF 60 YEARS PASSED AWAY THREE YEARS AGO.I HAVE RAISED FIVE CHILDREN, ONLY ONE LIVES NEAR ME.THE OTHER FOUR LIVE IN THREE DIFFERENT STATES. I HAVE EIGHT GRAND CHILDREN, AND TWO GREAT GRAND CHILDREN.. I TRY TO SHOW MY LOVE OF MOTHER NATURE AND ALL HER GIFTS IN ALL MY WORKS. I KEEP BUSY WITH MANY ACITIVITES INCLUDING PLAYING BINGO TWICE A WEEK. I HAVE LIVED IN FLORIDA WHERE I TAUGHT SENIORS TO PAINT. I HAVE WON MANY AWARDS IN THE MANY YEARS OF DOING ART SHOWS.
