It seems that what ever I have in mind to put on the canvas always turns out to be something completely different.
I enjoy layering the paint and often mixing the colors directly on the canvas.
In school, the only subject that I had a connection to was Art. I simply wasn't interested in anything else and I think my obsession with creating my "own thing" was the rebellion to the life of 9 to 5.
None of my art is completely intentional - it seems to develop and evolve over time.
People always ask for my artist statement so I needed to one bit Iv'e never liked to explain a certain piece of work - if you've made a piece and that's how you wanted it to be - hopefully it can speak for itself and whatever it says to the viewer - it's the right message because there isn't a right or a wrong message. Each person takes something a little different from the same piece of work and I am happy with that.
