Ready to Hang
This piece is abstraction with a purpose which can be seen with the matte black ink as the infestation against the glossy acrylic paints. The techniques and care add depth and texture to this piece.
Bright or unique colors are my go-to and I enjoy mixing colors you normally wouldn't see together in a painting. This generally leads to paintings that ten people can look at and all see something different.
More recently I have been entranced by the facial profile and the variations in facial features. I combine facial profiles with my abstract touch and the result is a lot of work, but well worth the time.
When I want a break from the lines and patterns I enjoy mixing colors in a marble design to create patterns. I love seeing the colors contrasting and complimentary at the same time so they "pop" and also flow together.
My name is Rebecca Lopez. I have been painting for over ten years mostly experimenting with abstract art techniques. I have lived in Seattle for 5 years which has a vast art scene and always places to go and see art. I have a full-time job in HR, but painting is my passion and would love to be able to stay home and expirement all day long. Thank you for visiting my portfolio, please let me know if you have any questions or comments about my art.
