I think most artists paint at least one horse, and this one is my first attempt. My sister in law is quite smitten with horses and her friend had taken this picture that I found to be almost mystical in its beauty. I really love the way the light showers down on our main horse and throughput the meadow. I took a painterly approach to this piece, keeping my brushstrokes loose with lots of movement. This is done in oil on a gallery wrapped canvas with the sides black. No need to frame. This is a special one, it has a serene sense of tranquility .

Hello, I'm an oil painting artist from South Texas. I started creating art at a very early age, and I'm so thankful for the gift of art in my life. Come join me on my creative journey exploring different techniques and subject matters, won't you?
