paint everyday and paint with passion leads to continued success in art output.
I’ve had a very colorful life and while growing up both Le Roy Neiman and Vassily Kandinsky influenced in how I paint today. I experience life and when I paint it is passion and experiencing life all over again. However, certain causes touch my heart and I just have to come up an abstract.
Reade loved art from a very early age. In the third grade his teacher gave a painting assignment and this is when he first realized his talent for abstract art, although not his favorite art at the time. In a high school oil painting class assignments were realism with the final a self portrait. During college Reade pursued studying the field of photography along with accounting yet was able to sell his photography in a local art gallery in Salt Lake City. However it wasn't until 2005 after retiring from the auditing profession that he began working in secondary art sales along with antiques and high-end furnishings with a mentor in Bountuful. Over eight years he began acquiring his own fine art collection of around 500 original paintings. This is when Reade developed a love for Russian Impressionism. When he began collecting the art of Utah painter Don Prys, he was awestruck with one of his abstracts. That moment defined what Reade would begin painting. A great friend in Canada who teaches art mentored Reade and he quickly established his own style using a palate knife with a lot of color and paint resulting in great texture, depth and movement.
