Part One: RASPUTIN 2-2-3 's work cannot be easily categorized. It is emotionally eclectic, stylistically diverse, and employs a wide variety of materials and techniques. Furthermore, its goals are varied, oftentimes contradictory, and sometimes inexpressible.

Part Two:

Rasputin 2-2-3 was born in Brooklyn, NY. He is a self-taught artist who began painting in 1999. What little he knew at the outset, he had learned from observing his friends, Grant Drumheller, Katherine Sherwood, Joanne Landes, and Betsy Rosenwald. In 2006, seeking seclusion, he left family and friends and moved to "the styx of Wisconsin" where he could experiment freely, fail even more freely, discover tools and techniques, make a few "fortuitous mistakes" and ideally, progress more rapidly. Until 2006, Rasputin had made his living as a cab driver, an independent feature film director, a house painter, janitor, art model, screenwriter, golf caddie, playwright, author, gardener, professor, telemarketer, door-to-door salesman, journalist, tennis instructor, tennis hustler, artist-in-residence, script consultant, dramaturge, ghost writer, guest lecturer, security guard, and through the sales of his paintings and the royalties from his books, films and Tales From The Crypt teleplay.
