Ready to Hang
The fall colors never seize to mesmerize me. As the summer heat blazes and I wait for temperatures to drop the imagery of fall is forever inspiring with all its passion.
As summer slowly graduates to winter its like the leave go ablaze with glory and passion.
I made this 2 nights ago in the wee hours of the morning when sleep escaped me and I wanted to paint something beautiful.
This piece already livens up my studio and as I walk past it I realize I will miss this one.
This painting has its sides painted black and is ready to hang. (This may need 3 more days to dry completely)
My name is Ruchika Agarwal. I am an engineer by qualification but have always been an artist at heart. I grew up in Mumbai and got my engineering degree a long time ago (at-least thats how it seems). I worked well as an engineer for 15 years but managed to keep in touch with art. As a teenager I dabbled in colored charcoal, then experimented with acrylic. My latest love for sure is oil and can hardly wait to master the knife (on the canvas). It feels like I wear a multitude of hats all the time, a mom, an engineer, an athlete, a religious devotee, a teacher to my children and dream to capture special moments in some way and art does spring out as a tool that could help me snapshot those moments in my special way.
