Ready to Hang

What if there were another dimension where beauty and softness existed and flourished? That's what this painting is about. The colors mingle with soft brushstrokes and texture to create a spatial plane where mysterious harmony flows.
This modern piece is a large abstract square with 1 and a half inch deep staple-free painted edges. It is ready to hang and arrives wired, varnished and signed twice. The back is heavily supported with added braces in the corners.
The more you look at this artwork the more you can complete with your own unique vision. The soft blur is intentional and the colors are tranquil.

Passionate about color, inspired by natural light, I rely heavily on instinct to bring my paintings to fruition. I have exhibited widely in the New York Metropolitan area as well as nationally and my work has been published internationally and is in many private collections. My portfolio and full bio are visible on my website robertaaviram.com. I am a recipient of many awards and a member of the National Association of Women Artists as well as other local art groups. Holding a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Fine Art and Art Education, I teach privately at present in addition to working in my studio. I believe that my art expresses my intuitive love for pure color. I try to incorporate light and vitality into my work but my main theme is the interplay of cool and warm colors. Painting realistically has always been my signature but I have recently become involved in abstraction and I am loving it as well. I alternate between the two styles frequently so that I can keep the work fresh and inspired. My foundation is in watercolor but presently I paint primarily in oils and acrylics. My realistic oils are painted on premium Belgian linen which I stretch and frame myself. I try to keep the colors pure by keeping my brushes clean after each stroke. Sometimes it's a very time consuming process but totally necessary to get the effect I am searching for. My abstracts are more spontaneous and emotional as I try to look for "happy accidents" that can create magic through color relationships. The abstracts here are from my Blue Clouds Series.
