Had an idea to paint an abstract using blended "subtle" colors. I wanted the colors to be blurred in some areas and show through boldly in others. Turned out to be a peaceful painting. Lots of compliments on this large piece.
To be able to express feelings, emotions, hopes, failures on a canvas is such a relief and a blessing. Just like Pablo Picasso said, "The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." I truly believe we all have the capabilities to be artist. But this, this quote from Leonardo da Vinci, is what I want to be all about. "Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art." I want so desperately for the Sprint of the Lord to inspire my paintings, because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17. I chose Almost Home Art because I want to always remember how James 4:13-15 says "your life is but a mist, here for a little while and gone tomorrow." I'm going home, how will I leave a mark that glorifies the Lord?
