Ready to Hang
This is the first painting of Maine that I have completed since moving to Tucson. I grew up lobstering and fishing, so when homesickness strikes now and then it seems that painting it will help to alleviate that.
This is one of my personal favorites for that reason.
Rachael Lamb is a professional painter and has moved recently from the coast of Maine to the desert of southern Arizona. This move was an enormous change of lifestyle and environment but it provides unmatched motivation and inspiration to paint the new desert landscape and render some of its most interesting qualities. Rachael spends most days painting, spending time with family and riding bikes in the desert where there is never a lack of bizarre and fascinating subject matter.
