As a Floridian born and raised on the coast, the ocean will always be my home and a constant influence on my art, most specifically the Stingray series. This surreal stingray is Jenya'lu and she's is set on a mixed-media abstract background of glued paper to add texture and ripples for the matte and metallic paint, painted ontop, to play the lighting from. This creates lines of light in various places through the painting at different angles, like you'd expect from the ocean. Jenya'lu herself is also a bit mixed media herself for she was sketched on paper, cut out, and glued to the canvas to add a little more kick to the 3-D nature of her swimming out of the canvas. Likewise, I mixed my own metallic orange, pink and purple accrylic paints to had highlights to Jenya'lu for the full effect of vibrance from every angle.
Avant-garde. Analyst. Artist. Naturist Kid Carpenter turned teen labor machine, doing all kinds of things on a core quest, to test, the possibilities of my capabilities long before I ever realize and hypothesized the drive to be evolution. The need to evolve. Resolve of adulthood has shown I've grown the most in my own reflection; taking direction from the simple value, always holding true, to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," the coo before the command, "Lead by example." Ample opportunity I didn't quite take until now, 2017, I'm coming back with a pow!
