We all carry around layers of memory from geographical places that have impacted us – some we can clearly recall and some are buried a bit deeper in our subconscious.
My landscapes are layered handmade paper, acrylic and watercolor and I struggle when I place the early layers because I worry that people will never “see” this part of the art
…but the layers in the art represent the same layers we have in memory – moments that build upon each other.
Thanks for visiting! I've removed my art from this site because of their poor customer service and poor treatment of artists. Please visit my site at LAKmenDesigns.com I create my art with layers of handmade paper, acrylic, watercolor and pencil. I began my career with a focus on hand-papermaking using plant fibers and recycled materials, and still use a lot of my own handmade paper in my work. Each piece consists of multiple layers which give depth and texture to the finished art.
