I created this piece using some experimental cutting and composition techniques. First, I cut with a laser cutter wave-like pieces of wood generated from two overlapping curves. I then kept only the interior of the curves and painted each piece individually, glueing them to the base wood after.
To me, the piece inspires a sense of movement, simplicity, and geometrical harmony.
I am a university professor who fell in love with the arts. I do science by day, and paint into the wee hours of the San Franciscan night. At every step of the way, I am finding art and science harder and harder to distinguish. Thank you for visiting my humble portfolio.
