This work is an attempt to explore different shapes and media. The curved lines and dots come from various types of masks and masking techniques that I used. These include normal artist tape, some stationary items that were not meant at all for art, and some laser cut masks that I created on a computer. I try to combine all of them generating lines with different types of borders, fuzzy, or exact. In terms of media, I also try to explore how to mix different types of paint. Here I use acrylic, watercolor, and even nail polish to try to combine them in a meaningful way. I hope you like it!
I am a university professor who fell in love with the arts. I do science by day, and paint into the wee hours of the San Franciscan night. At every step of the way, I am finding art and science harder and harder to distinguish. Thank you for visiting my humble portfolio.
