Patricia likes to paint abstract and works in acrylic and water soluble oils. She will use whatever she can to get the paint on the canvas fingers, wash cloths, sponges, knives, and of corse brushes.
there are a few experiments with adding compounds for texture or mediums.Yet there are times when she just wants to capture the moment or play around with a photo and see what see can come up with. She now includes Charcoal Drawings to her repertoire
Although my style is not pop art my Mantra is this:
Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad whether they love or hate it. While they are deciding make even more Art” Andy Warhol
About this piece: A phenomenon of colors represented by the colors of our souls ; blending into together for ultimate sharing.
My name is Patricia Askew. I am a Vango artist. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. Art is all around us. It is every where and everything. It has form shape, image and color. When I paint I sink a part of my soul into my work I wrestle with what colors look good together. I go to sleep by them. Putting them in a place where I can envision my mind drifting off. I can't say I have a particular style. Sometimes bright and others dark. Art is so individualize that there is something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoy losing myself in art. I also enjoy sharing what I have dreamed up. So please join me as I seek the visions within to share with you. Patricia Askew is a Native New Yorker that currently resides in the borough of Brooklyn.
