This is a portrait of a mysterious, obscured woman, clothed in traditional Arabic hijab and abaya. Her eyes are lively, filled with hope and surmise, but also suggesting a deeply buried secrets and feelings. She looks like as if she is caught by surprise by an unexpected visit. However, the inviting and soothing environment of her home and her hospitality are unaffected by her inner passions and moods.

Mostly a self-though artist, with some art classes taken along the road, Olya Meek creates truly beautiful, genuine and passionate art, inspired by her love for classical and dark-romantic rock music, as well as by her personal experiences and vivid imagination.
