"The Date" is an original artwork by artist Olya Meek, made with acrylic, color pencil and permanent color marker on canvas paper; 16 x 12 in. (40,6 cm x 30,5 cm).
The drawing suggests a scene of an ongoing romantic date between a brunette lady in pink and an uniform-clothed, light-brown haired gentleman. The lady in question seems distracted and dreamy, but with much content and romantic feelings read in her eyes. The gentleman sitting next to the lady seems stoic and reserved at first sight, but in actuality his body language suggests excitement about this lady, current exercising of self-control, and perhaps strong attraction towards her.
