Art is mere translation, or abstraction from my thoughts feelings that come from life. I love to paint passionately and because I love it, I must free my hands from all of their habits and traditions in order to create anew. Figurative, form, and the free will to paint are life itself, for there are always changes in life. Art and creativity are your own experience.
Olivia Cisneros Villanueva, born in San Antonio, Texas, is an International Abstract artist who has put no limits on her brush. After Saks Fifth Avenue put together a one-women show for her recognition, her success was a natural expected outcome. Olivia has been painting professionally for over twenty years. Influences by Picasso, Braque, and many others, she was significantly influenced by the cubist period in which she was able to create her own style of cubism. The role of woman is described with passion and emotion, drawing from her experiences in life which have led her brush strokes to take shape in many forms, for the simplest of reasons: originality and truth from every brush movement which you will find in her red series. Olivia has worked in many mural projects around the United States, her works have been exhibited at Museums in San Antonio Texas as well as commission by the American Payroll's annual advertisement campaign featured in the Wall St. Journal, USA Today
