I was raised in a small town. To continue my studies, I move to a big city in Mexico. I missed so much my parents, my sister, my home, my dog, my friends. But I knew I had more opportunities living there, so many times I wished to have the best of both worlds. In a big city it's hard to see the night cover with stars, that's why this paint reflects a city and a starry night.
I'm a self-taught Mixed Media artist born in McAllen, Texas. I was raised in Diaz Ordaz (Tamaulipas, Mexico). At the age of 15 I moved to Monterrey (Mexico) to continue my education, where I finished high school and later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I began my professional career as an economist working in privately owned financial institutions where I dedicated 8 years of my life. In 2011, I returned to McAllen to start a new life with my family, and I spent several months job hunting until a proposal position at a financial institution was offered to me. However, this involved doing the same thing that I had already done for 8 years in Monterrey, so I decided not to accept it. Using my small inventory of acrylic paintings and forty dollars from remaining budget I began painting. Now I have my studio at the McAllen Creative Incubator. This is my dream job, I paint having fun and listen music.
