Ready to Hang
I created this piece on june 2015. A cloudy day at my city (McAllen), I was happy to start doing something since my pre-schooler son is on vacations and my time to paint has decrease a little bit.
My inspiration in creating this piece was a color palette that I personally love, because it makes me happy, plus an unreal landscape, it's quite like a dream!
I consider myself as a canvas addict! I enjoy buying canvas jaja, and I have some unfinished ones, just with colors on them... So I came with this project! I need to save money so let's find inspiration on that! :) I really love the result!
I'm a self-taught Mixed Media artist born in McAllen, Texas. I was raised in Diaz Ordaz (Tamaulipas, Mexico). At the age of 15 I moved to Monterrey (Mexico) to continue my education, where I finished high school and later obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I began my professional career as an economist working in privately owned financial institutions where I dedicated 8 years of my life. In 2011, I returned to McAllen to start a new life with my family, and I spent several months job hunting until a proposal position at a financial institution was offered to me. However, this involved doing the same thing that I had already done for 8 years in Monterrey, so I decided not to accept it. Using my small inventory of acrylic paintings and forty dollars from remaining budget I began painting. Now I have my studio at the McAllen Creative Incubator. This is my dream job, I paint having fun and listen music.
