The point where two lines meet is sacred.
What calls me to action is the pull of ancient knowledge. We have lost much of our identity as a species through the colonization of ideas. When we look at human ingenuity, we don’t see backward cultures like we were told; we don’t see primitive vs. modern. Rather, we see connected vs. disconnected. When I see a photo of a shaman in practice, I see the implementation of ancient knowledge. We are losing that connection. We are wasting away into modernity while leaving behind our humanity. My goal is to preserve those essential human functions for all of humanity in the future. In my modern American life, Indigenous knowledge and shamanic practice are as relevant as ever. In fact, I find myself more connected to life than I have ever been. I strive for a higher vibration. I devour indigenous/esoteric knowledge like a vitamin for my soul. This is the way I find meaning in the confusion of modern life. If there is any doubt within you that the way we are living is detrimental to your own spirit, I suggest you ingest this knowledge as well. For you, I wish the highest vibration and most brilliant enlightenment. Peace.
I am a single mother of two who actively battles the status quo of our society. I lived for many years as a devout Muslim because it fulfilled me spiritually where I was left on my own. I loved it and I was torn from it. People practice religion on a lower vibration through no fault of their own. We need it at the same time it hurts us. But through exploring Anthropological observations, historical anecdotes and individual experiences, we can bring the holistic ritual practice that has sustained us for millennia and carry that into our uncertain future as a species. I think if we let that knowledge be lost, so will be the collective of our spirits that yearn to survive.
