Ready to Hang

This is my most minimalist painting to date. I've always wanted to experiment with minimalism but it's so hard for me to do. It's hard to not want to fill up the canvas with paint.

The red over the black areas of this piece immediately made me think of the Jewish Passover celebration where the blood of a lamb was smothered over the door posts to keep their firstborns safe from death.
