With this piece, I sought to evoke an abstract representation of the nature of loss. By employing a variety of traditional and experimental painting techniques, I attempted to capture the many forms that loss can take over the course of one's life.
With the paintbrush in his hand, Noah DeWald aims to capture what it means to be human, as well as man's relationship with the natural world. To evoke these themes, he employs a wide variety of artistic techniques from detailed representations of organic figures to vivid abstraction.
