"This is a stunning whimsical artwork piece featuring a unique abstract design etched into the metallic surface. The unbelievable grind pattern has masterful structure with incredible variety in structure and techniques, all of which captivate the viewer. The rich blue and green acrylics are highlighted with turquoise green and teal blue coloring, all with dark outer edges and a glossy clear coat that come together for a fascinating display.

A holographic effect is created when light passes through the layers of color and reflects off of the swirling grooves of the grind pattern. This piece makes a gorgeous urban contemporary artwork with a bold statement, incorporating a myriad of hand-mixed colors with a black acrylic vignette, thinner and reactive treatments, industrial style finishing techniques and a glossy clear coat."

I studied fine art and art history for two years at the University of Cincinnati and earned a Master’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Wrist State. I interned for the US Air Fore researching superconductivity. After graduating I worked at GE developing jet engine parts, but eventually my metalworking skill and artist passion regrouped as I left to become a full time artist. I look to nature, architecture, technology and everyday life in my city (Cincinnati) for inspiration in my work. I love to constantly hone and enhance my expertise and push the boundaries of grinding, coloring and forming metal. I make sure every piece that leaves my studio is a striking representation of my body of work.
