Ready to Hang
This piece is very emotional for me thus it came out raw and bleeding... Again, my struggle with teenager and my own turbulences with my soul searching, admitting my parental mistakes that we all make, that hunt me all the time, plus turmoil that we experience on and off with my smart, intuitive child--all were expressed in this piece. It might look like a surreal nature landscape or as for me, looking into the dome of a cathedral perhaps. The bold reds and ultramarine blues were moved with the palette knife aggressively, with the intervals of hope of warm yellow strokes...
The painting ships in late August, still wet.

I was raised in the cold climate of Leningrad, a former Soviet Union. I love snow, big cities, rain and city noises... I create my impressions of streets and people... I have lived in Vienna, Austria, Paris, Boston, and New York. Each painting is breathing the air of that city. I use primarily oil paint, brushes and a palette knife... The collection you are going to see here, are smaller pieces that are very affordable and also easy to frame. I will accommodate any requests in regards to sizes, themes, and shipping methods.
