This piece came out of my childhood... Remember those cold winter nights that I would get home from an art school and it would be cozy in our three room apartment and my mom would be reading a book lit by the warm light of the table lamp... I also wanted to stress the reds that were part of our living room surrounded by book shelves full of Russian and American classics...
I see bold brush strokes with the palette knife.
This small painting will be perfect for your library or living room areas. Enjoy it.

I was raised in the cold climate of Leningrad, a former Soviet Union. I love snow, big cities, rain and city noises... I create my impressions of streets and people... I have lived in Vienna, Austria, Paris, Boston, and New York. Each painting is breathing the air of that city. I use primarily oil paint, brushes and a palette knife... The collection you are going to see here, are smaller pieces that are very affordable and also easy to frame. I will accommodate any requests in regards to sizes, themes, and shipping methods.
