The browns and oranges represent your old life. The reds symbolize the blood of Jesus given for our ransom. He gave His life for us willingly. Love is what motivated Him and it’s what conquered death.

The green and white hues represent purity and eternity. 2 Corinthians 5 states, ‘God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the Righteousness of God’.

It was in the name of love that God’s power was released and Jesus forever changed the way we approach the Father. Since we are now cloaked in Christ, we are seen as Righteous before the Father. We can approach boldly as sons and daughters. What freedom we have in the presence of our God.

Nathan Rhoads is an artist working in Portland, Oregon. He earned his BFA in 1998 from Point Loma Nazarene University. His primary medium of choice is oil. Nathan's work ranges from abstract to representational. He is a live painter, creating beautiful works of art on the spot at events. He takes on a lot of commissioned projects too, and lately, has been painting beautiful pet portraits. The spirit realm is his muse. Most of his work deals with the spirit realm whether it be representational or abstract in nature. When not painting, he spends time with his 2 boys and dog exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest. His favorite art quote is from Chuck Close: "Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work."
