In this piece I am intertwining two natural elements in a bit of a realistic, but yet a bit surreal way. I am experimenting with the combination and how they can be connected. Both having once been completely natural at one point, but in this piece they show the human influence on their appearance. One seeming harsh and sad yet the other maybe viewed as refined and more exquisite.

I have always loved creating, no matter what form or medium, but my favorite is painting. My early inspiration was italian architecture and quickly moved to my loved ones. I enjoyed painting my family and friends throughout my college Art career. I have more recently been drawn to more natural elements, and our interaction with these elements as a human race. My 7 year old son recently was commenting on how humans are not natural. We effect all of nature around us all the time, and usually in a very destructive way. I like to think about those interactions, and I am trying to visually find harmony among our influences. I long for us as humans to become more natural. I hope for a day when we all work in harmony with the natural elements all around us.
