Whatever is tangled or layered captures my imagination. Branches, vines, grasses...
This is another piece from my series of drawings about fictional industrial sites. The rich active surface is created with lots of line and using an eraser to build up an atmosphere.
I always ship work promptly in very sturdy 4" mailing tubes, and you can mat and frame the work to suit your decor.

Nanci has lived in California, Oregon, Maine, Iowa, Washington, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, finally settling in Colorado. Most of those moves were for grad school or teaching jobs, and each place left an imprint of its own particular visual qualities. She taught all levels of painting and drawing at University of Iowa, Morehead State, the College of William and Mary and Colorado State University. She has been awarded two Colorado state arts council fellowships, numerous merit awards and exhibited work nationally for over 25 years. She earned a BFA at University of Oregon, and an MFA at University of Iowa. See more info at erskinestudio.com
