I often force paper white narcissus bulbs in the winter, and this drawing was done in observance of that phenomenon.
Their grace, and slender leaves are interesting to me even when the blooms fade.
This piece is on sturdy archival paper, and will come rolled to you in a sturdy 4" tube.
Nanci has lived in California, Oregon, Maine, Iowa, Washington, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, finally settling in Colorado. Most of those moves were for grad school or teaching jobs, and each place left an imprint of its own particular visual qualities. She taught all levels of painting and drawing at University of Iowa, Morehead State, the College of William and Mary and Colorado State University. She has been awarded two Colorado state arts council fellowships, numerous merit awards and exhibited work nationally for over 25 years.
