I created this drawing from sketches made on site while teaching in Italy.
The Boboli Gardens were magical and I visited several times to draw and wander the pathways under the arched trees. There were visual surprises around every corner.
This piece demonstrates my drawing style in the variety of linear and tonal elements used. It's gestural but also calming.
An elegant and striking piece that you can frame to your taste.
