This is a lovely companion piece to the Branching drawing.
The line quality is sensitive and varied, and the subject moves gracefully in the space. You can also see the process of the drawing developing as I drew and erased certain areas.
This drawing is done on warm Stonehenge paper, and will come shipped to you in a sturdy 4" mailing tube.
Nanci has lived in California, Oregon, Maine, Iowa, Washington, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, finally settling in Colorado. Most of those moves were for grad school or teaching jobs, and each place left an imprint of its own particular visual qualities. She taught all levels of painting and drawing at University of Iowa, Morehead State, the College of William and Mary and Colorado State University. She has been awarded two Colorado state arts council fellowships, numerous merit awards and exhibited work nationally for over 25 years.
