I painted this piece as a study and an attempt to capture the essence and feeling of a stripper dancing in a stripclub its a 1st in a series I intend to paint about what it is like for a woman to be a stripper.
My name is Muhammad Sida. I'm 35 years old. At 17 I went to art school simply because my grades allowed it. I wanted to be an architect. At the time I was just going through the motions, I liked to draw just like an everyday average person despite being the grandson of a great artist I just did it for my own amusement. Art became a passion of mine when I first came across Leonardo Da Vinci's silverpoint Drawings then Rembrandt's self Portraits sealed the deal for me.... I wanted to become an artist. Passion, power and bold creative genius is what attracted me to art. My art school however advocated the soulless & I'll leave it at that. I had to teach myself everything I needed to know to become the artist I wanted to be. Everything I've painted & drawn from that time till now made me the artist I am today. When I paint I want my emotions to show In every brushstroke, painting is the only way I can think of to turn my emotions into a visual experience people can see.
